Job Summary
We are a leading manufacturing group seeking a dynamic, energetic, and results-driven Sales Assistant to join our Flo-Tek Sales Team. The successful candidate will provide administrative and operational support to the Sales Team, assisting with sales administration, purchasing, production coordination, customer service, and general departmental functions..

Minimum Requirements

• Previous experience in sales administration or quotation management.
• Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment.
• Exposure to production planning and scheduling.
• Experience with product sourcing, stock control, or inventory management.
• Knowledge of export documentation, including applicable SADC documentation.
• Experience with customer returns, pricing discrepancies, and credit note administration.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to maintain registers, analyze data, and prepare reports.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or supplier coordination.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of numerical accuracy.
• The ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
• A proactive approach to following up on outstanding quotations, purchase orders, supplier deliveries, and customer requirements.
• Good customer service skills and the ability to communicate professionally with customers and suppliers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and escalate potential issues.
• Commercial awareness, with an understanding of the importance of sales, profitability, stock management, and production efficiency.
• The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Sales, Production, Procurement, and Accounts.
• Good computer literacy, with experience using Microsoft Office and preferably an ERP or stock management system.
• A high level of professionalism, accountability, and initiative.
