Event Promoters & Activation Staff – Casual Day Position

Job Overview

We are looking for 4 energetic, reliable and hands-on event promoters and activation staff members to assist with an upcoming fun run event in Bellville, Cape Town.

You will be part of the team responsible for setting up event activation stations, assisting with light promotional activities during the event, and packing everything away once the event has concluded.

This is a once-off, casual event opportunity with the potential for ongoing work. We are expanding our event and activation operations in Cape Town, with more events planned in the area. Successful applicants who demonstrate reliability, professionalism and a strong work ethic may be considered for future events and more frequent work opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Arrive early in the morning to assist with event setup.
• Help set up activation stations, promotional materials and event equipment.
• Ensure all stations are fully set up and ready by 07:00.
• Assist with light promotional activities and interact professionally with event participants.
• Keep activation areas neat, organised and presentable throughout the event.
• Assist with dismantling and packing away all activation stations and equipment after the event.
• Work collaboratively with the event team to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Requirements

• Must be reliable, punctual and available for the full duration of the event.
• Comfortable with early-morning starts.
• Physically able to assist with light lifting, carrying, setup and breakdown.
• Friendly, approachable and comfortable interacting with the public.
• Able to follow instructions and work well as part of a team.
• Previous promotional, brand activation or event experience will be an advantage, but is not essential.

Remuneration & Working Hours

• Payment: R500 for the full day.
• Setup: Must be completed by 07:00.
• Fun run event: Scheduled to conclude at 11:00.
• Breakdown: Staff will assist with packing away all stations after the event.
• Expected finish: No later than 14:00.

Please note that an early-morning start is required, and applicants must be available for the entire shift, including setup and breakdown.
