WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

The Quality Manager is responsible for leading all quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure product quality, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the site. The role oversees laboratory operations, quality systems, ISO compliance, team development, and quality performance while partnering closely with production, engineering, and other site functions to support business objectives.
Duties will include the following:
  • Lead and develop the Quality team to achieve quality, safety, and operational objectives
  • Define and implement quality strategies, plans, and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with site goals
  • Manage all quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure products meet required specifications and customer expectations
  • Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System, including ISO 9001:2015 compliance and audit readiness
  • Review quality results, approve product release decisions, and provide recommendations on quality-related issues
  • Ensure laboratory operations are efficient, compliant, and supported by effective maintenance programs, procedures, and testing methods
  • Drive root cause analysis, non-conformance management, investigations, and corrective actions to improve quality performance
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to implement process improvements and optimize efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with all quality, EHS, regulatory, and company requirements across laboratory and site activities
  • Manage quality records, certificates of analysis, trial samples, departmental budgets, and quality reporting

WHAT YOU OFFER

  • Degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, or a related scientific discipline
  • Minimum 8 years of quality management experience, including at least 4 years in a leadership role
  • Proven experience managing quality systems within a manufacturing or production environment
  • Sound knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 implementation, maintenance, and auditing; Certified Internal Auditor is advantageous
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance, quality control, laboratory operations, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience with root cause analysis, non-conformance management, investigations, and process optimization
  • Knowledge of EHS systems, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and quality standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP, and quality-related systems
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
