Job Advert Summary

To monitor and carry out cleaning of purification systems, filters, chemical lines and dosing plants as well as safe isolation of systems and pipelines when requested

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate) / related N3 or NQF 4 in Water and Waste Water Treatment Process • Previous Water Purification plant experience will be an added advantage • Process Controller Classification as per DWS Regulation will be added advantage • Valid drivers' license with the ability to pass RW K53 test

Primary Duties

• Desludging of systems • Chemical pipe work, chemical tanks and screens. • Isolation and cleaning of process systems • Clean spreader plates and holes • Removal of sand in sand traps for re-use (recovered water sump) • Maintenance of filters • Position is required to work overtime (planned/ unplanned) when necessary

Knowledge

• Basic understanding on Water Treatment process • Basic mathematics • General safety conscious

Skills

• Communication skills (Verbal and written) • Good housekeeping skills • Problem solving skills • Analytical skills to do fault finding • Computer literacy (Advantage)

• General safety conscious. • Good working relations • Able to work under pressure
