Cooper Casings is Looking for a receptionist to join our team.
A little bit about our company:
Copcas – a South African sausage casing supplier – was founded in 2002 with a mission to produce high quality sausage casings from local abattoirs.
Due to the superb quality and efficient service, we deliver to our customers, Copcas has grown over the years to be one of the leading sausage casing suppliers in South Africa.
The Receptionist's objective is to professionally manage the company’s front desk and switchboard, ensuring that all visitors and incoming calls are handled efficiently and courteously. The role serves as the first point of contact for clients, suppliers, and employees, while also providing administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day office operations includiing invoicing.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate the switchboard and direct all incoming calls promptly and professionally.
- Take accurate messages and ensure they are delivered to the correct person on time.
- Welcome and assist all visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Maintain the reception area in a neat, tidy, and presentable condition at all times.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and courier deliveries.
- Provide general administrative support (filing, scanning, copying, data capturing, Invoicing)
- Maintain employee contact lists and internal telephone extensions.
- Support/Assist Sales & Branch Administrator with Sales admin
- Provide general administrative support, scanning and filing
- NB ! MUST WORK WELL UNDER PRESSURE and be able to Multi-task
Desired Experience & Qualification
1 year experience Switchboard Operation
1 year Data Capturing experience
Matric (Essential)
Must speak Afrikaans
Working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Working knowledge of Sage One Accounting System
Switchboard/telephone system knowledge
General administrative knowledge
Customer service principles
Experience with multi-line switchboard systems
Knowledge of office equipment (printer, scanner, courier systems)
