Faircape Health is extending our subacute care and rehabilitation services to Heritage Manor, our long-term healthcare centre situated in Somerset West. We provide exceptional care for patients requiring short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, dementia care, respite care and palliative care within a secure, supportive and nurturing environment.

Through our highly collaborative Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) of doctors, nurses, therapists, pharmacists and healthcare professionals, we are committed to delivering exceptional clinical outcomes and patient-centred care.
We are looking for an organised, professional and customer-focused Healthcare Receptionist to join our team at Heritage Manor on a permanent basis.

Duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Welcome and greet all patients, visitors and contractors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer and direct telephone calls promptly, efficiently and courteously.
- Receive and relay messages accurately via written, verbal and electronic communication.
- Receive, stamp and distribute incoming mail daily.
- Ensure professional communication throughout the healthcare facility.
- Monitor diaries for appointments, messages and instructions, ensuring information is communicated to the relevant departments.
- Prepare starter packs for new employees and assist with fingerprint registration where applicable.
- Perform reception and administrative duties to ensure the efficient operation of the reception area.
- Attend to deliveries, maintenance contractors and service providers entering the facility.
- Assist with patient billing and charge sheets.
- Collect patient payments upon discharge where applicable.
- Support the administration team with general administrative duties as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar receptionist or administrative role.
- Experience within a hospital, healthcare or medical environment will be advantageous.
- A relevant administration qualification will be advantageous.
Skills and Knowledge
- Computer literate (Google Workspace experience advantageous).
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer service orientated.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Professional, well presented and approachable.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Able to work independently as well as within a team.
- Reliable, accountable and dependable.
Specific Requirements
- Excellent and contactable references.

- Clear credit record.
Working Hours
This is a roster-based position. You will work 16.25 shifts per month, including weekends and public holidays where required.
Shift times: 07h00 – 19h00.
