Job Title: Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Specialist
Location: Johannesburg / Remote
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Contract
Salary: R20,000 – R35,000
About the Role
We're looking for a proactive, organised Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Specialist to source, assess, and place high-quality candidates across our growing business. You'll manage the full recruitment cycle from understanding hiring needs to onboarding, and should be confident proactively sourcing candidates rather than relying only on inbound applications. As we grow, this role may also support recruitment projects for external B2B clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and write job descriptions
- Post job ads and proactively source candidates via LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, and networks
- Screen CVs, conduct initial interviews, and assess candidate fit
- Coordinate interviews, manage candidate communication, and support offers/onboarding
- Conduct reference checks and maintain a talent pool/database
- Track recruitment pipelines and identify effective sourcing channels
- Build relationships with universities, training providers, and professional networks
- For B2B clients: gather requirements, shortlist candidates, present profiles, and manage multiple client vacancies
Requirements
- Prior experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, HR, or staffing preferred
- Strong sourcing, CV screening, and interviewing skills
- Proficient with LinkedIn and online recruitment platforms
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Able to juggle multiple vacancies and hit deadlines
- Industry experience (tech, hospitality, beauty, manufacturing, professional services, etc.) a plus
