About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Canteen/Restaurant Facility Manager to oversee the daily operations of our corporate canteen and restaurant facility. The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership, financial acumen, and operational expertise to ensure a high standard of food service, customer satisfaction, and efficient facility management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the canteen/restaurant facility, including kitchen, front-of-house, and support services.
  • Ensure food quality, hygiene, and presentation meet company and client standards.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate staff (kitchen, front-of-house, cleaners, and support teams).
  • Manage procurement, stock control, and supplier relationships to optimize costs and minimize waste.
  • Develop and implement weekly/monthly menus in line with client requirements and dietary needs.
  • Monitor equipment, maintenance, and facility upkeep; liaise with service providers for repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food safety regulations.
  • Manage budgets, invoicing, and financial reporting, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain excellent client and customer relationships.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and profitability.

Requirements

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in hospitality, catering, or facility management (canteen/restaurant experience preferred).
  • Strong leadership, staff management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and compliance regulations.
  • Financial management skills (budgeting, cost control, invoicing, reporting).
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Hospitality, Catering, or Business Management qualification advantageous.
