Full job description

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Restaurant Manager to lead a premium Italian all-day dining venue in Sea Point, Cape Town - part of an internationally renowned hospitality group.

This is a host-led senior management role at the heart of one of the city's most talked-about new openings: an elegant, design-forward restaurant serving breakfast through to leisurely dinners. Reporting to franchise ownership and supported by a Head Office team and three junior managers, the Senior Restaurant Manager owns the floor - protecting brand standards, delighting guests, and building the commercial performance of the business.

We are looking for a commercially sharp, naturally gregarious operator who leads from the front of house and thrives on building relationships, covers and culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, owning service quality and the overall guest experience.
  • Uphold and maintain brand standards consistently across the operation.
  • Provide a strong, warm front-of-house presence and a host-led welcome for every guest.
  • Build guest and community relationships and plan and execute brand activations and events.
  • Drive commercial KPIs — covers, revenue and cost lines — and grow the business.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of junior managers, working closely with Head Office.
  • Partner with ownership on strategy, performance and standards.


Requirements

  • Proven restaurant management experience, ideally in premium casual or premium dining.
  • Experience operating within a franchise or multi-unit, brand-standards environment.
  • A strong front-of-house presence and a natural, engaging hospitality personality.
  • Demonstrable track record of managing KPIs and building a business.
  • Fluent English.
  • A hospitality degree is advantageous.
  • Candidates must hold the right to work in South Africa.

Benefits

  • Salary: ZAR 35,000 gross per month.
