Full job description

Main purpose of role:

  • Managing the running’s of the restaurant and catering for events at the farm.
  • Maintaining profit margins, through Food and Beverage cost
  • Maintaining the monthly budgets
  • Leading a team of staff and managing them correctly.

Key responsibilities and scope of role:

  • Rostering staff to ensure labour cost budget is met.
  • Daily variances & monthly stock takes, maintaining balanced stock levels.
  • Building a returning guest relationships.
  • Processing invoices and actioning purchase orders.
  • Cash ups
  • General efficient running of the restaurant.

  • Excellent time management with the ability to flex to changes in demands and priority

Qualifications and experience:

  • National diploma in hospitality desirable but not essential.
  • 4 or more years’ experience as a general manager

Knowledge and skills:

  • Competent in the use of POS systems, experience with micros is desirable.
  • Competent in Microsoft office, particularly excel.
  • Wine Farm and wedding/event/banqueting experience an advantage

Other:

  • Role is Somerset West, Western Cape based.
