Key Responsibilities

  • Beverage Preparation: Brew espresso-based drinks (cappuccinos, lattes, americanos) and specialty beverages according to brand standards and recipes.
  • Customer Service: Greet patrons warmly, take accurate orders, explain menu items, and foster a welcoming environment.
  • Station Maintenance: Keep the espresso machine, grinders, and counter areas clean and sanitized while adhering strictly to health and safety regulations (HACCP principles).
  • Inventory & Till Management: Monitor stock levels for coffee beans, dairy, syrups, and packaging supplies; operate point-of-sale (POS) software or systems like Pilot Software where required.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in a busy restaurant, café, or bar environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating commercial espresso equipment, grinding calibration, and milk texturing. Familiarity with local restaurant software (e.g., Pilot POS) is often an advantage in mixed bar/coffee setups.
  • Soft Skills: Strong verbal communication, a friendly and outgoing personality, and the ability to work under pressure during peak shift

  • Monthly Salary ranges from R 8,000.00 – R 10,000.00
