About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Waiter / Waitress to join our team in Kalk Bay and Kommetjie.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, attentive and professional service to all guests
• Greet, welcome and seat customers
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
• Serve food and beverages to a consistently high standard
• Check in with customers throughout their meal and ensure they have an enjoyable experience
• Prepare the restaurant before service and assist with closing duties
• Clear, clean and reset tables efficiently
• Maintain excellent cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the restaurant
• Process customer payments and assist with cash-up procedures when required
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient service
• Remain calm, professional and positive during busy service periods
• Participate in weekly deep-cleaning duties
• Assist with other reasonable duties required to support the smooth running of the restaurant

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will have:

• A minimum of 2 years' waiter/waitress experience
• Previous cash-up experience is advantageous, but not essential
• Excellent spoken English and strong communication skills
• A warm, friendly and welcoming personality
• A genuine passion for hospitality and working with customers
• The ability to work efficiently and confidently in a busy environment
• Excellent reliability, punctuality and a strong sense of responsibility
• Strong attention to detail
• A well-presented and professional appearance
• The ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• The ability to safely carry food and beverage trays
• A positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed
• A strong team-player mentality

Working Hours

This is a shift-based position, with weekly hours varying according to business requirements.

Applicants must be available to work:

• Evenings
• Weekends
• Public holidays, when required

Waiters/Waitresses are expected to arrive fully prepared for every shift, including having a clean service cloth, corkscrew, notepad and pen.

Pay & Tips

The position is paid at an hourly rate.

All hours worked during the month are paid at the end of each month. Staff also receive tips.
