Job Description
The Barista / Waiter is responsible for providing excellent customer service by preparing and serving beverages and food, taking customer orders, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and ensuring customers have an enjoyable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve coffee, beverages, and food items according to company standards.
  • Take customer orders accurately and process payments.
  • Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service.
  • Serve food and beverages to customers promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the café, service counter, and seating areas.
  • Replenish stock and assist with stock control.
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and health regulations always.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures.
  • Handle customer queries and complaints in a courteous manner.
  • Promote menu items and specials to customers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Barista, Waiter, or in a customer service role will be advantageous.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Friendly, energetic, and customer focused.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and well-presented.
  • Basic cash handling and POS experience will be advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
