HOSTESS

Location: Cape Town, Western Cape

About the Role

Beluga Restaurant is seeking a professional, friendly, and well-presented Hostess to join our front-of-house team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests and will play a key role in creating a warm, welcoming, and memorable dining experience from arrival through to seating.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements efficiently
• Coordinate with management and service staff to ensure smooth guest flow and optimal table management
• Respond to guest enquiries and provide accurate information regarding the restaurant, menus, and services
• Maintain the reception and entrance areas to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation
• Assist with guest requests and resolve minor concerns promptly and professionally
• Support colleagues and assist with operational requirements where necessary to ensure exceptional guest service

Minimum Requirements

• Previous experience in a Hostess, Host, Reception, or Front-of-House role within the hospitality industry will be advantageous
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with a proactive and service-driven approach
• Reliable transport to and from the workplace
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
