We are looking for friendly, energetic and customer-focused Waiters/Waitresses to join our team at HQ Kyalami. The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering excellent table service, ensuring accurate order taking and billing, and creating a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for every guest.

We are looking for individuals who are professional, reliable, attentive to detail and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience and Table Service

• Welcome guests warmly, assist with seating and present menus.
• Explain menu items, daily specials and product availability.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and capture them on the restaurant's point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring orders are accurate and presented according to restaurant standards.
• Check on guests throughout their meals and respond to requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Recommend menu items and beverages where appropriate.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and escalate unresolved complaints to the Restaurant Manager.

Order Processing and Payments

• Ensure orders are communicated clearly and accurately to the kitchen and bar teams.
• Communicate guests' dietary requirements and allergies to the kitchen in accordance with restaurant procedures.
• Prepare accurate bills, process payments and follow established cash-handling procedures.
• Maintain accuracy when processing orders, payments and customer transactions.

Restaurant Cleanliness and Preparation

• Set, clear and clean tables before and after service.
• Keep service stations clean, organised and adequately stocked with cutlery, crockery, glassware and other supplies.
• Complete opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Maintain high standards of personal grooming, cleanliness and professional presentation.
• Follow all food hygiene, food safety and workplace health and safety procedures.
• Report stock shortages, breakages, hazards and equipment faults promptly.

Teamwork and Communication

• Work closely with kitchen, bar and service colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations.
• Communicate customer requests and order changes clearly.
• Support colleagues during busy service periods and contribute to a positive team environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Previous waiter/waitress or customer service experience is preferred.
• Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic numeracy skills and the ability to process orders and payments accurately.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Strong customer service orientation and a professional approach.
• Willingness to work shifts, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to travel reliably to HQ Kyalami.

Added Advantages

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Experience using restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
• Previous experience serving at functions, events or high-volume restaurants.
