ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a professional, customer-focused, and service-driven Waiter to join our team in Kempton Park. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service, ensuring guests enjoy a welcoming, comfortable, and premium lounge experience.

The role plays a key part in maintaining high standards of hospitality, service excellence, cleanliness, food safety, and guest satisfaction within a fast-paced airport lounge environment. The successful candidate will be passionate about customer service, committed to operational excellence, and capable of creating memorable experiences for guests.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Deliver exceptional customer service and create a positive guest experience.

· Welcome and engage guests in a professional, friendly, and courteous manner.

· Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.

· Serve food and beverages in line with company service standards.

· Assist guests with menu selections and provide recommendations where required.

· Maintain knowledge of menu items, allergens, and beverage offerings.

· Ensure tables, service stations, and guest areas are clean, organized, and fully stocked.

· Set up and clear tables and maintain cleanliness throughout service periods.

· Assist with stock control, inventory counts, and replenishment of service supplies.

· Comply with HACCP, food safety, hygiene, health and safety standards.

· Handle guest queries and complaints professionally and escalate where necessary.

· Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.

· Perform additional duties as required by management.

REQUIREMENTS

· Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.

· Hospitality, Food & Beverage, or Customer Service qualification will be advantageous.

· Previous experience in a hospitality, restaurant, hotel, airline lounge, airport lounge, or food service environment will be advantageous.

· Experience in customer service and food and beverage operations is preferred.

· Willingness to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and overtime as required.

KEY SKILLS

· Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

· Knowledge of food and beverage service standards.

· Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP principles.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Good organizational and time management skills.

· Problem-solving and adaptability.

· Basic knowledge of allergens and dietary requirements.
