Full job description

We are seeking an innovative and results-driven AI Specialist with 2–3 years of practical experience in designing, developing, and implementing artificial intelligence solutions that improve operational efficiency and enhance client engagement.

The successful candidate will work closely with multiple departments to identify business challenges, automate workflows, streamline communication processes, and develop AI-powered tools that improve productivity, data accessibility, and customer experience. This role requires both technical expertise and strong business acumen to translate organisational needs into scalable AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

AI Solution Development

  • Design, develop, and deploy AI-driven tools and automation solutions across the organisation.
  • Build and maintain AI assistants, chatbots, workflow automations, and knowledge management systems.
  • Integrate AI technologies with existing business platforms, databases, and software applications.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend suitable solutions for business needs.

Interdepartmental Process Improvement

  • Collaborate with department managers to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for automation.
  • Analyse existing workflows and implement AI-based improvements to reduce manual effort and increase productivity.
  • Develop tools that improve information sharing and collaboration between departments.
  • Create automated reporting and data analysis solutions to support decision-making.

Client Engagement & Experience

  • Develop AI-powered customer engagement solutions, including virtual assistants, support tools, and communication workflows.
  • Enhance customer response times and service quality through intelligent automation.
  • Monitor client interactions and identify opportunities for improved engagement and retention.
  • Support sales and marketing teams with AI-driven lead generation, customer insights, and personalised communication strategies.

Data Management & Analytics

  • Gather, clean, and analyse data to support AI initiatives.
  • Monitor performance metrics and continuously optimise AI solutions.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools that provide actionable business insights.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with applicable regulations.

Training & Support

  • Provide training and guidance to employees on AI tools and best practices.
  • Create documentation and standard operating procedures for implemented solutions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on AI technologies within the organisation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience developing and implementing AI solutions in a business environment.
  • Experience with AI platforms such as OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, Google AI, Anthropic Claude, or similar technologies.
  • Knowledge of workflow automation tools such as Zapier, Make, Power Automate, or similar platforms.
  • Experience integrating AI tools with CRM, ERP, and business management systems.
  • Strong understanding of prompt engineering, machine learning concepts, and large language models (LLMs).
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, APIs, and related technologies is advantageous.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience implementing AI within professional services, finance, accounting, technology, or customer service environments.
  • Experience with conversational AI, RPA (Robotic Process Automation), and workflow orchestration tools.
  • Familiarity with data visualisation platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.

Remuneration

Market-related salary based on qualifications, experience, and demonstrated AI implementation success ranging from R40,000 – R65,000

Pay: R40 000,00 - R65 000,00 per month
