Amex Truck Parts is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Internal / Counter Sales Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting customers at the sales counter, processing enquiries and quotations, promoting truck parts sales, and providing exceptional customer service.

This role requires excellent product knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to build lasting customer relationships while achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist customers at the sales counter and telephonically.
  • Prepare accurate quotations and process customer orders.
  • Identify customer requirements and recommend suitable truck parts.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers.
  • Actively identify opportunities to increase sales and promote additional products.
  • Follow up on quotations and customer enquiries to secure sales.
  • Ensure orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Liaise with the warehouse and procurement teams regarding stock availability.
  • Maintain high levels of customer service and professionalism.
  • Achieve individual sales and gross profit targets.
  • Keep the sales area organised and presentable.
  • Assist with stock enquiries and product identification.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12 certificate.
  • Minimum 3 years' internal sales or counter sales experience.
  • Previous experience within the automotive or commercial truck parts industry is essential.
  • Sound knowledge of truck parts and the aftermarket industry.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office and ERP/sales systems).
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and administrative ability.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
