Full job description

Recruitment Coordinator (Independent Contractor) - Rate: $4 to $6/hr, based on experience

Scale the clinical teams behind one of New York's fastest-growing, AI-powered multispecialty practices. Nao Medical is hiring a Healthcare Recruiter to own full-cycle hiring across provider, behavioral health, and operations roles spanning 12+ clinic sites in NYC and Long Island.

About Nao Medical

Nao Medical is a physician-led, multispecialty practice delivering exceptional, affordable care across primary care, urgent care, occupational health, mental health, and nutrition. Our proprietary AI-first operating model streamlines clinician workflows so providers can focus on what matters: their patients. Over 13 years, we've served more than a million New Yorkers, and we're building toward becoming a top national player with expansion across the United States.

What You'll Do

  • Full-Cycle Recruitment: Own sourcing, screening, interviews, and offer execution for provider roles (Physicians, NPs, PAs, PMHNPs) and key onshore clinical and operations positions
  • Pipeline Building: Proactively develop and maintain a strong candidate pipeline using job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, outbound outreach, and association career centers across competitive healthcare markets
  • Hiring Manager Partnership: Collaborate directly with clinical leadership to define role requirements, align on candidate profiles, coordinate interview scheduling, and drive timely hiring decisions
  • Process and Data Integrity: Maintain accurate records in the ATS (UKG Ready), track pipeline metrics, and identify opportunities to improve recruitment workflows and candidate experience
  • Employer Brand and Candidate Experience: Craft compelling job postings, deliver a warm and professional candidate journey from first contact through onboarding handoff, and represent Nao Medical's culture at every touchpoint

Why You'll Love This Role

  • High ownership, low bureaucracy. You run recruitment end to end, with direct access to leadership and decision-makers who move fast
  • Meaningful impact at scale. Every provider you place expands access to affordable, stigma-free care for underserved communities across New York
  • AI-powered tools, less admin. Nao's tech-forward environment means smarter sourcing, streamlined workflows, and more time spent on the human side of recruiting
  • Growth trajectory. Gain deep exposure to multi-site healthcare hiring, credentialing pipelines, and workforce strategy as the organization scales nationally
  • Supportive, collaborative team. Work alongside a people-first HR and operations group that values initiative, accountability, and continuous improvement

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • At least 1 year of experience in healthcare recruitment or talent acquisition
  • Proven experience recruiting for provider roles (Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants) is strongly preferred
  • Strong sourcing skills with the ability to identify high-quality candidates in competitive clinical markets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a warm, professional candidate-facing presence
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple open roles simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Familiarity with UKG Ready or similar ATS/HRIS platforms is a plus

Engagement Details

  • Type: Independent Contractor
  • Rate: $4 to $6/hr, based on experience
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time, including holidays
  • Location: Fully remote (any location, must work EST hours)

Technical Requirements

  • Reliable wired internet connection (100 Mbps minimum)
  • Computer or laptop with Intel Core i5 / Ryzen 5 processor, 8GB RAM minimum, and 128GB free storage
  • Dual-screen setup preferred
  • Windows 10 or macOS (latest version)
  • Clear webcam (1080p or higher) and microphone
  • Backup systems for electricity and internet outages
