Full job description
Our Growing Security Company is seeking to employ A Security Guard Grade C with National Key Point (NKP) status protects strategic facilities under the National Key Points Act, manages access control, and responds to high-risk emergencies. Key requirements include a PSIRA Grade B certificate, NKP training certificate, Firearms Competency, Grade 12, TRT and proven Guarding experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Access Control: Monitor and log entry/exit for employees, visitors, contractors, and vehicles.
- Perimeter Protection: Patrol designated zones, inspect boundaries, and identify safety vulnerabilities or suspicious acts.
- Emergency Response: Act during security breaches, fires, or threats, coordinating with law enforcement.
- Site Monitoring: Operate CCTV, alarms, and electronic surveillance systems.
- Documentation: Complete occurrence books (OB) and write detailed incident logs.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
- PSIRA Status: Active PSIRA Grade C registration.
- NKP Certification: Accredited National Key Point training completion.
- Competencies: Valid SAPS firearm competency certificate (Handgun, Shotgun and Rifle) Grade 12/Matric.
- Qualifications / Trainings: TRT (Tactical Response Training, Physical Guarding.
- Clearances: Valid police clearance and South African citizenship.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of Security Guarding experience, ideally within an NKP-rated or high-risk operational environment, with at least 3 contactable References.
