Introduction

Stable company in the vehicle rental and transport industry is seeking an experienced and highly organised Fleet/ Transport Controller to manage and coordinate a large fleet of vehicles.

The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, communicate professionally with drivers, clients and management and be willing to work extended hours when operationally required.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee a fleet of 400+ vehicles
• Monitor vehicle movements, availability, servicing and breakdowns
• Coordinate vehicle dispatch and driver schedules
• Ensure all fleet documentation, licences and permits are up to date
• Handle client queries and provide operational support
• Monitor fuel usage, vehicle tracking and fleet performance
• Ensure vehicles are maintained according to company standards
• Liaise with workshop staff, suppliers and service providers
• Maintain accurate fleet records and reporting
• Ensure compliance with company policies and transport regulations

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Previous experience as a Fleet/ Transport Controller or in a similar transport/logistics role
• Experience managing large vehicle fleets
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Computer literacy and experience with fleet management systems
• Valid driver’s licence advantageous
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance processes and transport regulations
