Full job description

We are seeking a motivated DTP Operator to join our team in the printing industry. As a Junior DTP Operator, you will assist in the design and production of printed materials, including brochures, flyers, posters, packaging, and labels.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with graphic designers to create and format printed materials using desktop publishing software.
  • Typeset text, select fonts, adjust spacing, and apply styles to ensure consistency and readability in designs.
  • Prepare print-ready files and ensure that materials meet printing specifications and industry standards.
  • Assist in proofreading and quality control to identify and correct errors before final production.
  • Operate printing equipment and assist with print production as needed.
  • Learn and apply best practices in desktop publishing and printing processes to enhance skills and contribute to project success.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a DTP Operator
  • Proficiency in Desktop Publishing software such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Strong design skills, including typography, layout, and color theory.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency across various materials.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Time management skills and ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • A Valid Drivers Licence

Pay: R8 000,00 - R10 000,00 per month
