Job Purpose
The Department of Social Development, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a self-motivated and competent individual to render administrative support service This post is based in Cape Town, CBD.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification).

Key Performance Areas
Render general administration support services: Record, organise, store, capture and retrieve correspondence and data(Line function); Update registers and statistics; Handle routine enquiries; Make photocopies and receive or send correspondence; Distribute documents/packages to various stakeholders as required; Keep and maintain the filing system for the component; Type letters and/or other correspondence when required; Keep and maintain the incoming and outgoing document register of the component; Receive, document and distribute of all incoming mail and documents. Provide supply chain clerical support services within the Chief Directorate: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in relation to procurement of goods and service; Obtain quotations, complete procurement forms for the purchasing of standard office items; Stock control of office stationery; Keep and maintain the asset register of the component. Provide personnel administration clerical support services: Maintain a leave register for the Chief Directorate; Keep and maintain personnel records in the Chief Directorate; Keep and maintain the attendance register of the Chief Directorate; Arrange travel and accommodation.Provide financial administration support service in the Component: Capture and update expenditure; Check correctness of subsistence and travel claims of the officials and submit to the management for approval; Handle telephone accounts and petty cash for the component.

Remuneration
R 237 453 - R 279 708 per annum (Salary level 5)
Note on remuneration in addition service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
