START DATE: ASAP

Pay Rate: $4 per hour.

YOU MUST HAVE A LAPTOP/PC FOR THIS ROLE WITH A MINIMUM 15-INCH SCREEN, ADEQUATE INTERNET CONNECTION, AND A HEADSET.

Excevo is a leading B2B technology and outsourcing service provider based in England, delivering business and technical expertise to clients across the globe.

At Excevo, we offer a dynamic and rewarding environment for motivated individuals looking to grow their careers whilst supporting international clients.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Customer Service Advisor to provide telephone-based support for a provider of personalised home and domiciliary care services.

This is a predominantly voice-based customer service position, speaking with clients, family members, carers and prospective customers about care requirements, existing services and ongoing support. Previous experience within home care or domiciliary care is essential.

The successful candidate will understand the importance of empathy, confidentiality, clear communication and urgency when supporting individuals and families arranging or receiving care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handle inbound telephone enquiries professionally, confidently and compassionately.
  • Support existing clients and their families with questions relating to their care and services.
  • Handle initial enquiries from individuals or families looking to arrange home care for themselves or a loved one.
  • Listen carefully, understand the caller’s circumstances and gather accurate information.
  • Explain services and next steps clearly and sensitively.
  • Identify urgent, sensitive or safeguarding-related matters and escalate them appropriately.
  • Liaise with care and operational teams where additional support or action is required.
  • Accurately record calls, enquiries, outcomes and follow-up actions within the relevant systems.
  • Manage potentially emotional or difficult conversations with patience and professionalism.
  • Follow agreed processes relating to confidentiality, data protection and sensitive information.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience working within home care, domiciliary care or a similar care environment.
  • Experience speaking directly with clients, service users and/or their families.
  • Strong telephone-based customer service experience.
  • An understanding of how home care services operate and the needs of individuals receiving care at home.
  • Experience dealing with sensitive, personal or emotional conversations.
  • Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional when handling challenging calls.
  • Strong attention to detail and confidence using CRM, care management or customer service systems.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

  • Home care or domiciliary care customer service, care coordination or scheduling.
  • Care enquiries and new client onboarding.
  • Experience working for a CQC-regulated care provider.
  • Experience speaking with elderly or vulnerable clients.
  • Dementia or elderly care environments and safeguarding awareness.
  • Out-of-hours care support or health/social care contact centres.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

This role requires someone who can combine excellent customer service with genuine knowledge of the care sector. You will be compassionate and empathetic, warm and reassuring on the telephone, confident and professional, patient, organised and comfortable discussing sensitive circumstances.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Every caller should finish their conversation feeling heard, understood and supported. Whether speaking to someone exploring care for a parent for the first time, an existing client requiring assistance or a family member concerned about a loved one’s care, you will provide a calm, knowledgeable and reassuring point of contact.
