The job I’m in is a shift environment. Good pay for a young person but no time to spend your money as you are always working. Good benefits but if you want time to yourself would not recommend

Productive and Fun

The best company to work for. Very professional with flexible hours. Month end can get extremely busy, submitting of reports and all but the Colleagues are extremely helpful.

Absa is a place to work and i like the culture.

working for Absa has been amazing for me.when i joined Absa i was from a very horrible place,management and staff made me to feel at home.The salary is also not bad..even though i feel they reward fairly i also feel like the salaries must be aligned to the cost of living of a particular place.

Very productive enviroment

Collaborative and goal-orientated work environment. Very relaxed and conducive. Management was easy-going and we could go to them for anything. Training was provided as well.

Undermining

Absa it's a very good company to work for the the management at the branch r soo rude and undermining staff and also jealous not liking or wat staff members to move to other positions not like to be changed. I remember on day speaking to my supervisor that I wonna go study she said to me why do I wonna be special because every one meaning staff wonna study I must relax with my studies every Tym I was applying company scholarship she delicex them

I was a branch manager and as well a sales consultant. Management needs to be more in communication with staff I work very close to the clients and most off all the client is always right

Busy well managed call centre, customer service orientated. Calculations of credit card interests. New applications of credit cards and to deliver new credit cards.

Productive and great people

Great place to work especially if you have a great manager who is working in line with the values,mission and vision of a company. Work is great if you love your job, work smart .I learned Customer service, Working with Foreign currency, Risk management and control, Exchange control regulations and others

Too much focus on BEE and not enough on real talent and skills. Training and development was awesome. Could be more focused on promotion of all ensuring diverse promotion and not only BEE.

I didn't have enough time at Absa as I worked for few months. But the work culture was always good and fair to staff...used to get along with everyone as I was new and trying to learn most of the things

Highly stressful environment

Absa should look after their employees and cultivate a better working environment than the current one we are exposed to. We as the employees are not very happy with what is currently happening. There is restructuring of employees currently happening. Job security is at a low

In the marketing and communications roles within the group, no one day is similar to the next. I have learnt to be resilient and proactive at work. Fun working environment and professional

Absa bank is a great employer. They work with integrity and they are very strict with the quality of work. They value their customers and treat each cutomer with respect. I learned great skills from them, and I acquired good quality and time management skills. Setting my goals (targets) and reaching them within a set time.
