Virtual Technical Associate - WFH in Cape Town, Western Cape

Salary is too low for job function.
Great employment benefits but salary is not competive for professionals. More catered for younger professionals due to 11 hour shifts. Structure for Operations can be improved, happy staff leads to more success. Not recommended for long term unless you decide to have a career with Amazon.

AMAZING Company, AMAZING work-life and AMAZING management
A truly human-centred workplace where you feel they consider you first. You really do feel like a person. Never have I ever felt like a number. It can be seen as difficult to get in but once you're in, it's amazing. Opportunities are always available it's really up to you how you're going to develop. Hours can be daunting and can even take a toll on the long-run but there will always be alternatives to assist you. Much as you service Amazon shopping clients, you are also seen and treated as a client by Amazon with the utmost dignity, respect. You'll genuinely feel comfortable with your surroundings. It's a great introduction and place of growth in the customer-service world. pay could be better though.

Comfortable and easy work.
The company has amazing colleagues, the work is easy to learn but you need to learn quickly and continuously. You must be responsible for your work, and maintain high and steady performance levels to keep your job in the long term. Working from home can be lonely especially since we work overnight. Customers can be stressful to deal with especially angry ones, but generally they're OK. It's a great starting job, but overtime you'll feel you lack growth and need to advance.

Exciting and challenging workplace
Working at Amazon is both exciting and challenging. Their customer service development activities and management style is what stood out for me. You learn the basic and fundamental principles of professional and good customer service.
