Trainee auditor (Former Employee) - Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal - 11 January 2020
Fair place to work at. Salary matches your education and experience. Have to travel. Alot. No consideration is given as to whether you are a single parent or not. Training is given by one manager and one would not be sure if the training is sufficient until another manager is allocated to you.

Professional and Training Institution
Trainee Auditor/Accountant (Current Employee) - Johannesburg, GP - 10 August 2015
During the past three years of my articles/trainee I actual grown and learn a lot. The environment is challenging and requires one to adapt quickly and to learn as much in a short period of time. I have learn form my seniors e.g. management skills, leadership, professional behaviour, professional competence. I also got an opportunity to transfer the skills and to lead the junior trainees from 2014 when I was a second year, till to date.
The challenging thing about my job was to balance studies and working at the same as both were demanding. Hardest thing was to make sacrifice to my studies.
Most enjoyable part was leading and guiding first years in the job and to see them getting it right.
Pros
Study busury, salary above to market
Cons
Long hours (especially in reporting days)

Strictly work place and fun too
Trainee Auditor (2yrs SAICA) (Former Employee) - Century City, WC - 16 September 2014
Not always 8 - 5 job , learnt that qualifications determine your position in business world, managemet style is a top down approach , co -workers were fun to work with as a trainee can be pooled into any auditee .
Hardest part is travelling as I had to use the public transport.
Most enjoyable part - overtime worked increased the leave days
Pros
Exponential increase in salary if passing the exams
Cons
If you fail to get the qualifications, the future in the company is bleak
