Working there was interesting, I got to experience not only a wide variety of industries but a wide variety of audit work as well.
There are some growing pains still that need to be worked through however, BDO is fast growing.
0 communication and transition to work from home. took pay cuts while company still made acquisitions and reported record revenue. very limited team development activities.

Training was terrible, put too much on your plate too quickly and expect you to do an insane amount of work in 40 hrs. Overtime was not allowed but necessary to get all the work required done.

Like most public accounting firms, it really depends on your specific office. But BDO is general is a good firm with slightly less prestige than the BIG 4 but slightly better work life balance. I enjoyed my time here and it was a great place to start a career. People are generally very smart and helpful but work life balance is always an issue as is standard for this profession.

Great place to work, great benefits. Company benefits focus on allowing people o integrate work and life outside of work. Leaders care about their employees as people.Management removes obstacles from employees' path.
I worked in the Salmon Arm office of BDO. The work is fast paced during the busy season, at tax time. The people are supportive and helpful to work with. The partners have a good work-life balance. Being an efficient worker will help you succeed in this company. I enjoyed my time with BDO.

Pretty much a typical accounting firm. No work life balance, unrealistic workloads, nonstop stress and terrible pay for the work. You do learn a lot and get good opportunties afterward.
Very good company to work.A lot of learning and very supportive team. Everyone is so helpfull. Create policies to ensure employees are working with people they respect.Senior level managers not only provide great leadership but also serve as great mentors
Door onvoorziene omstandigheden heb ik een aanbod voor een baan als salarisadministrateur af moeten wijzen. Wel heb ik de gehele sollicitatieprocedure doorlopen. Ik kan niet anders zeggen dan dat ik altijd fantastisch behandeld ben. Voornamelijk door de manager Payroll Services Alphen / Den Haag. Ze is enorm betrokken en denkt graag met je mee. Er zit een hecht jong team op de salarisadministratie en er zijn genoeg doorgroeimogelijkheden.

Long hours when short of staff
Me brindaron la oportunidad a pesar que no contaba con mucha experiencia. Fue una buena experiencia ya que aprendí mucho en lo que respecta a nóminas, así mismo pude mejorar mi inglés ya que lo utilizabamos para comunicarnos con algunos de los clientes. BDO cuenta con un agradable ambiente laboral.

Enjoyed the initiation into BDO culture and work life. The virtual internship was interactive, and challenging and involded working on live audit engagements, live training and video training and national level talks from experienced professionals. Great Experience!
