Fun environment with lots of growth opportunity & recognition for hard work
Sales Agent (Current Employee) - Claremont, Western Cape - 23 February 2022
Coming into bOnline I had zero contact centre experience, management and those who I reported to were very supportive and held my hand every step of the way. You can go far at bOnline with a positive, "can-do" attitude. Your experience is what you make of it and your hardwork does not go unnoticed. Good remuneration when you produce the work and great incentives inbetween. The company is growing and improving day-by-day so its currently a very exciting place to be at. Staff is generally very friendly so its easy to settle in quickly and get along with most people. The hardest part of the job is probably knowing how to separate work and play.
Pros
Great remuneration and incentives. Fun, positive environment. Weekends and bank holidays off.
Cons
UK based so no SA holidays are observed.

Worst company ever
SEO (Former Employee) - Cape Town, Western Cape - 18 September 2021
Sick or not you must come to work. Expected to deliver the work that should be done by 10 people. Management doesn't know what they are doing, when it hits the fan, lower level people are used as scapegoats. You will loose your sanity
Pros
Work from homeish
Cons
Everything else

Stressful work environment
Customer Service Agent (Former Employee) - Claremont, Western Cape - 6 August 2020
Short staffed having to fill in the gaps when other staff are on leave or sick , management always blaming or complaining about performance but won’t admit the process are flawed and will always put blame on the agents they focus so much on getting good reviews then actually giving the customers good equipment and make the customers pay for everything even if it’s faulty equipment but expect us to get good reviews when we have to tell the customers they have to pay for replacing faulty equipment
Pros
Weekends off
Cons
NPS is more of a focus then actually resolving issues

sale agent (Current Employee) - Claremont, Western Cape - 5 August 2020
I've seen hard working people being worked out of this place by people who are close to managers , alot of Back stabbing taking place, I've even witnessed calls being made to other companies to inform them not to recruit any person who leaves this horrorific place its extremely sad. I CAN WAIT TO LEAVE THIS PLACE
Pros

Cons
CEO does not understand what's being done in the office

Fast pace & target driven
Sales Specialist (Former Employee) - Claremont, Western Cape - 18 September 2019
Good place to work as a job, however hard to establish a career because their staff turn-over is very frequent and high. Also, not much room for growth

COPYWRITER (Former Employee) - Observatory, Western Cape - 1 May 2019
When I worked at bOnline there was not one window in the office I sat in with easily 30 people in the sae room. the place looked extremely grim and really not an inspiring environment at all especially since it is suppose to be a creative environment.
No management and most people (aside from the designers) did not do much work.
Pros
Somewhat Flexi hours - they work UK time
Cons
Drab office space, weird people pitching up in terrible clothes, no real culture or care.
