Management
weighbridge clerk (Former Employee) - Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal - 21 February 2020
They don't care about their workers, tou don't get working equipment on time, we didn't get PPE on time. They didn't want us to join Unions. If you raise issues they don't take actions.

The Workplace
Site Administrator (Current Employee) - Johannesburg, GP - 29 November 2015
I work an 8 hour shift, starting at 8am till 16pm.
When I get to the office, I greet all my colleagues with a smile, sit at my desk & start capturing timesheets. Everyday I learn that one can never be too careful & that one should always be extra cautious when entering data. our management is free & fun to be around - they are always willing to lend an ear or help you with something you might not understand. I get along with all my co-workers (currently working with a close team of 4 guys) the best & bubbliest beings. The hardest part of my day is filling out query forms (if there are any queries for that particular week). The most enjoyable part of my job is going weeks without any queries, seeing the staff happy & energetic,
Pros
Working with a team your comfortable with

productive, fun and challenging workplace
Site Agent (Former Employee) - Durban, ZN - 2 June 2015
having to deal with +- 160 employees daily (including weekends), everyday was a challenge, but it taught me a lot in terms dealing with peoples emotions, their different cultural backgrounds and their overall mentality and approach when it comes to work. I had very demanding but equally supportive management structure, which made it easier to deal with set goals and challenges. I had friendly and supportive co-workers. being a Site Agent providing a a service to a client ( i.e Denny Mushrooms) was challenging in terms of ensuring that the correct number of staff was available, it could be because of in incorrect requisitions by Denny supervisors or plain old staff ill-discipline, but having said that, i really enjoyed interacting with people from different backgrounds because it helped me grow both academically and individually.
Pros
structural support
Cons
12 day fortnights

When fulfilling customer request , having a satisfied customer
Site Agent (Current Employee) - Gauteng - 19 February 2013
My typical day at work is making sure service is deliverd to the clients and our employees.I have learned to value each and every individual, and that Management does not cater for any procastination. Experience that i gain through working with my co-workers is that working together produces the best outcomes. The hardest part of the job happens when you have delayed work things start to pileup. Most enjoyable part of my job is when the set standard or objectives have been met.

I answer calls, take messages for those who are not available, file the documents and receive incoming mail.I'v learned a lot about communication skills and how important the client is.management and co-workers can sometimes make or break my day but I have learned a lot from their critism.Dealing with a difficult client is the hardest part of the job but I now know how to hanlde it.I enjoy everything about my work, especially when i get compliments about my service.

productive and rewardind
Site Agent (Current Employee) - Johannesburg - 30 July 2012
I come in at 07:45 to have a chat with the employees. then check registers in every deparment, solve problem if any in all deparments. Then do a daily absenteeism report to the CEO of the site( Be-tabs pharmaceuticals). I Learned to be patient as people might hear the same massage but have the same understanding. also learned to firm in terms of disciplinary. Hardest part is to demobilise people from the site not because they did not comply with the co.policy but because of work shortage. Enjoyable part is when employyes are happy to see you and appreciate effords been made in terms of thei salary increase etc
Pros
braais in every 2months
Cons
salary not satisfactory
