Productive work place
Registration Operator (Former Employee) - Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal - 11 May 2017
The job involves interacting with customers on a daily basis. I learned that I must leave my frustrations at the door because I had to stay happy in order to make customers happy. Management can be sometimes tough because we had targets to meet. The culture of self development prevailed. The hardest part is to deal with unhappy customers. I enjoyed meeting different people and meeting their expectations
Pros
I did not work weekend
Cons
Very hectic environment

Throughout the day I completed various administrative duties as well, including answering phones, drafting documents and emails, filing and greeting customers. I also provided strong customer service and resolved customer issues.

Fun and best learning enviroment
Enrollment Officer (Former Employee) - Germiston, GP - 15 July 2014
Typical day at work will start in the office by preparing and counting money for the payments and head to paypoints where we will be busy with the administration of payments, new client registration (manual) and educate clients about new services and products. Cash Paymaster Services has range of Office sSupport categories. Admin, Data capturing, Customer care and Call centre so learning was daily thing. After the long day at work is back to the office where we do the capturing of new clients info on the system and dealing with enquiries. We were all like family in our team so it was fun working in the office and management was very good.
The hardest part was the cold, windy, rainy and hot weather we sometimes have to face at the paypoints as most of paypoints are at the open area like outside halls and open fields. The other haddest thing was the danger of caring lot of cash with us so we were targetted by criminals putting our lives in danger. More scares the bad day may comes from angry clients which felt their quiries were not dealt with up to their certisfaction.
I enjoyed most of my days at work. As most of social grants beneficiaries are elderly people and most are loving and caring. Being around them on their happiest day (Pay day) it becomes a day well spend in the office. They give advices, value of Ubuntu and respect for life cause they are the most experienced when it comes to life.
Pros
None
Cons
Working hours were good as most we do only office hours.

Busy and Uncontrolable workplace
Enrollment Operator (Former Employee) - Eshowe, ZN - 23 October 2013
Working there was not a typical nine-five day. Work started at 5am everyday, which is not really a problem for me but we did not have a set knock-off time. There were times we would only knock off at 8pm or even 00:00. Depending on where we were stationed. That really taught me how to manage my time properly. The management was really poor at first, giving us wrong instructions when we were on the job but the company eventually brought in a different manager to help and things began to tighten up. I had great co-workers, the workplace was never a dull place to be and most of them were hard workers with a "never leave a man behind" mentality, so everybody chipped in to help one another. The hardest part of the job was working in difficult conditions on-site, with no shelter or chairs or even tables to write and literally working with thousands of people a day with not enough stationary. The best parts of the job(and this might sound cliche) were the joy of seeing the the relief on the peoples faces when the recieve the grant that they really need to provide for their children and gran-children and experiencing the hospitality of some of the people in the places we visited.
Pros
Opportunity to meet new and interesting people and experiencing real zulu culture.
Cons
Long hours and poor working conditions.

Registration Operator (Former Employee) - Sterkspruit, Eastern Cape - 14 April 2013
a typical day at work would when Benefitiary does not bring all the required documents and expecte you to help them, I learned the difference between the types of grant: Grant in aid, foster care grant, combination grant, disability grant and Old age Grant, i can say much about the management but we had manager, I had the most wonderful co-workers the 3 months i spent with them was like we have been friends from pre-school, hardest part of the job was working with community members that you to make sure they are happy at the end of the day, they are informed, successful service delivery, the most enjoyable part of the job was the travelling involved to different villages and towns of the Joe Gqabi District.
Pros
free training
Cons
long hours
