Long days
Driver (Current Employee) - North Jackson, OH - 1 July 2022
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedBottom of the barrel line haul job. Long days not worth it. You drive terminal to terminal and work the docks. Then when you return to base you have to unload your trailers.

Good for beginners, but thats it
Truck Driver Class A (Former Employee) - Chesapeake, VA - 28 June 2022
Central is a good company to start out with. Either coming off the road or coming from trucking school. They have decent trucks, some of the trailer are very unsafe and old. Management is okay. Spend a year here or 2. But then go for bigger and better, because there are plenty companies that are better. Terrible benefits, btw. You will realize this and everything else after being there for 6 months

Avoid at all costs
Employee (Former Employee) - Tacoma, WA - 21 June 2022
Company is not ran by leadership with freight backgrounds. Everyday the entire operation is basically winging it. No direct deposit company is stuck in Stone Age. Turn around and run. Save yourself the missed time for somewhere else.

CDL driver
Truck Driver (Former Employee) - Northwood, OH - 6 June 2022
Okay job, easy work, you drive for half of your shift and help out the dock works unloading trucks the other half of your shift. Dock is super cold during the winter time making it difficult to drive the forklift.

Its a place to work. Leadership is cool. Trailers bad, tractors ok no cameras, working the dock is wack... but the comradery with other drivers is cool

Very demanding company
CDL Class A Driver (Current Employee) - Phoenix, AZ - 27 May 2022
Your actual job is a city driver is fine. Pick up and deliveries all day long is normal. What's not normal is that after you've already worked 8 or 10 hours doing your actual job, they expect you to work on the dock for an additional two or three hours at the end of the day. They do not have many dock workers and the drivers are expected to perform those duties as well. It's like having two jobs. Would not recommend.

Over stressful and poor management
Forklift Operator (Current Employee) - Bath, PA - 27 May 2022
Very little help if offered work is go go go nonstop. To find help you have to find someone willing to help you which at times was very difficult for me.

No work life balance
Line Haul Truck Driver (Current Employee) - Peoria Heights, IL - 25 May 2022
This is a good company to work for if you are new to driving and have no experience. The hours are between 14-16 depending on the day. In most cases you can get a set route that you work every night. Pay has increased every since the competition has been raising their pay. At least you can be home daily.
Pros
No experience required, get home every day
Cons
Long hours, management could treat drivers better
