no growth
It is good to work for the company but for me there is no career growth. it is not taken into consideration the fact that you have servicing the number of years in one position and also the fact that you have qualification greater that the position occupied. it is demoralizing to work in such an unrecognizing environment.
Pros
good benefits
Cons
no challenge

areas that require improvement - more room for staff advancement and development needed. my core duties included: staff training, Human resources administration, customer liaison, procurement and financial admin. serving the entire electricity directorate and a support department to Corporate Human Resources. -I work closely with the departments branch Head and serve as his liaison. - my peers were supportive and had confidence in my outputs. -hardest part of the job was the lack of management's support, my role involved making head-on/real time decisions. i consider this to be the hardest part of my job, having to act in a position which you are not remunerated for for almost 3 years I enjoyed every new challenge and experience that I was taught. my role allowed me to learn something new every day, being trusted by management to do that which is required of me without any supervision or pressure. enjoyable part of the job- always challenging and more room to learn other functions of different departments, external role players always supportive
Pros
adequate staff benefits
Cons
low staff morale due to transformation insecurities, lack of staff advancements / promotional opportunities
