Clicks Beauty Advisor and Supervisor. (Former Employee) - East London, Eastern Cape - 5 January 2023
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedYou would have to work in all the store and know every department. You would also be involved in the cash office. It helps you know the business better though. The problem is still lack of professionalism with the management.

Average
Pharmacist Assistant (Former Employee) - Cape Town, Western Cape - 22 November 2022
High turnover, it's ok if you join their sales teams. Below market related wages, no opportunity for growth unless you are prepared to relocate to another country. Growing in Africa but not in South Africa. No benifits which is ...

The work place was nice to work at.
beauty consultant (Former Employee) - Stellenbosch, Western Cape - 16 November 2022
I have been working at clicks since 2013 and ever since I have worked there. I never had been happy. Other people that comes after me at clicks get promoted but I was just the one hoe had to do everything. I have worked as a receiving clerk when there was no receiving clerk. I work at checkout as a training services advisor, I worked at the beauty counter since I have started there in 2013 but never have been promoted for my hard work. I can work all over in the shop when ever a customer needed me. No other staff members could have done that in the store where I did work. For 8 years I have been a shop assistant cashier and only last year got promoted as n beauty consultant. But I have regined a month ago. Because I wasn't happy for many years because of the management , the company tge benefits they give the staff and the salery I have worked for. That is my reason why I left clicks.
Pros
More off days
Cons

Over worked and underpaid
shop assistant cashier (Former Employee) - Cape Town, Western Cape - 24 September 2022
You have to be an all rounder with a very low paying rate. Need to put in extra work too ensure the store is always in good standard. Need to be on the till and on the floor to assist customers.

Can be demanding and stressful but not a bad envirooment
Pharmacy Manager (Current Employee) - Western Cape - 29 August 2022
Demanding at store level but can get monotonous in smaller areas. There are opportunities to grow if one is passionate about retail but being a pharmacy manager entails less pharmacy and more admin

Unfulfilling
shop assistant cashier (Former Employee) - South Coast, KwaZulu-Natal - 24 August 2022
It can get very frustrating when you're working under poor management. That being said, there are managers that are good so it really depends on who you're working with and how they operate the store. I would recommend this job to someone who has little to no expenses because the salary is low, so probably someone who's just starting out who has a passion for customer service looking to grow in the retail industry.
Pros
Medical Aid, Staff Discount, 2 Days Off A Week
Cons
Long hours, Low Salary
