The environment is for people who love to conduct research. Good work/life balance. They are involved in very interesting work, people are kind and friendly, the campus is beautifully surrounded by nature.
Very good place for career development involving exposure to various complex problems and contributes to enormous growth. Exciting different types of projects which require different problem solving skills and multidisciplinary approaches.
CSIR is a good place to work. They have a great research culture. I got the opportunity to work with great Scientists and Engineers. They provide a great opportunity for young researchers and Engineers to grow.
CSIR is a government research institute where scientists from all fields can conduct their research. The bioscience department is friendly and supportive, however, funding is limited and many of the researchers struggle to get project funding and do not have job security.
CSIR has been going through changes that let a lot of employees unsettled. As they say change comes with risk; many people have been worried about the future of the CSIR and their job security; other than that I have enjoyed my years at the CSIR and have matured as a professional through exposure and opportunities CSIR has given me.
ive learnt a great deal in working for this company though i was a student but the people at this business unit will accommodate each new one like they belonged to the company long before, i learnt a lot of fascinating recent technologies. one wouldn't say there was a difficult part of this company. the most enjoyable part of the job is that you get to work with people with more experience, they groom you to be the best. I learnt how to trouble shoot, also how to work with small children. the most hardest part of the job was to generate weekly report for 8 schools. overall it was nice working with csir
This is a great company to work for if you are looking for a job out of school to build your skill set and CV. Raises are few and far between, but the company consistently hires amazing people and the culture is a great reason to stay.
Nice environment ,opportunity for growth and enhancement
Good career pathing.
Good communication from top to bottom.
CSIR is passionate about training and development of the staff, so far the training is in line to what you are appointed to do, you will be supported all the way.
The overall experience was very good - friendly co-workers, HR department, etc. The work was challenging and worked under pressure which was exhilarating at times. The direct management however was lacking and unfair.
