It was just a ok job no raises boss was not that good boss didnt care to much about his workers didnt have good trucks or a good van old what else is there to say

Driver/Warehouse (Former Employee) - Carrollton, TX - 24 September 2020

Okay so if your thinking working as a DHL driver think again but this time think harder! This job is not with DHL its through a sub contractor. With that being said the contractor will pay you less than a DHL employee and will have their own guidelines and still demand you to abide by all DHL guidelines as well. You'll be lucky if you get a uniform when you start thats how high the turnover rate is with these people.. And If a package is ever reported missing by the customer you'll have to pay for it.. YES even if you know you delivered it! The schedule will always change on DHLs half that is.. The contractor will still demand you be at work at 7am even if the freight won't arrive until 9am cool your at work 2 hours so you'll be paid,, NOPE! your not making and hourly just the base pay $125 they'll have it posted and it in the pre employment paper work so read it. Or better yet don't waste your time! Trusss

Fast n hard work must b able to use a key map meet a lot of new people everyday long hours but u on your own all day long was a great company they just went out business

Good company to work for.. depending on location

Driver/Warehouse (Current Employee) - Chicago, IL - 19 May 2018

I’m in the Chicago area for the Express division and I’ll have to say it’s the best paying/relaxed job I’ve ever had. We are union so lots of benefits and protections as a driver. Various on location though most locations are not union, and management is accros the board stupid and will work you hard and the pay is low. Union shops are more laid back and pay is very good so check and see if your location is union. Express and Global forwarding are the best divisions to be in at DHL.

lot of work for little pay did my job they where just started so everything was unorganized so we had a lot of problems was tried of working there nothing else left to said

The day began with the package breakdown and sort. I worked alongside many characters thru the years and truly found how diverse the world really is.After truck was loaded I would proceed to my territory and begin the day's deliveries and pick ups.I would then proceed to make the recipient's business transaction a pleasant and satisfying one. My co-workers I enjoyed. Management, I believe, was often poor and self-indulgent.The hardest part of my job was the long ride to and from work and having to deal with mismanagement. Most enjoyable - feeling like you were self employed when you were on the road just you and your truck.

Associates believe in the mission, vision and values of the company. They understand how their job contributes to the mission, and they see how leadership exemplifies it every day. Great leaders are good at explaining how to get there and how to execute. The vision is sold throughout the organization. Talented employees see a goal they can work toward. Team members work in a culture that supports one another and doesn’t point fingers or place blame. The environment is safe, where they can ask for help and learn from mistakes with leadership & supervisor support. When conflicts do arise, employees want the issue addressed fairly and without favoritism.

Most of the workers are friendly and helpful .

My role as a driver was challenged by time expectations . Traffic is an obstacle that delivery drivers face when performing their work . And , trying to get each and every package , letter or parcel delivered on time was the goal . Also , all the drivers pick - up packages and letters that have to go to the airport . Deadlines must be met . But , there was a great group of people who worked there and this helped make the job , a great place to work .
