Labour intensive field work

Was earning on a commission basis, where the procedure for getting the commission was inefficient. So it was really stressful more especially being a first time job seeker

It is a nice place for work and interacting with different people everyday

My experience at edcon was amazing because I got to meet every different person everyday and were a bit different and difficult but you always get your way around helping them.

Fun and learnt lot with edcon

Best company I ever work for from people's amanagment and leadership values and salary benefit.It was so exciting and use to everyday looking forward to be at work with the leading values.

Very interesting environment to work in as you get to know more about your colleagues as well.

Edcon is more of a very busy company that requires focus and dedication to work there. But also in a very professional environment that values their customers to be given 100% service support and the need to acquire more customers is included in the company policies as well. For customers to be able to come back for more to buy that will mean more profit for the company.

the company provides great benefits and has good career pathing if you put in the effort to learn . Overtime is paid and any hours worked over and above your minimum

Enjoyable working with people and costomes and wearing nice

Opening and closing of the shop, customer service, mechandising, receiving and dispatch, stockroom assistant, banking, cell phone assistant, we work also on weekend and public holiday but we ended enjoying

Great culture....not much room for growth

Training process not great. And not much room for growth. Too many meetings. But culture is great. And team support. Huge turn around in staff as people tend to overwork themselves. Loved working with international brands and learning about retail. Went though a restructure every 6 months in the time I was there. Job security wasnt great.

it was very Productive and fun at work

I had no problems working at edcon besides the management off which everywhere the management have their own favourites....i had wonderful time as Credit Associate even now if i could go back to the company i would say NO.

It's a good company and lots of benefits were there and good management. Good salary, good environment to work for, the treatment was nice. I wish to go back and work again but unfortunately I was retrenched

Fun working place

Working for Edcon was very good I've learnt a lot starting from customer service, team work and cashier work and doing sales on our financial products.

Productive and producive

Productive and work place which was stressing lot of work and too much pressure. Per day as a singl worker you have to meet score myb pick a minimum of 4000 store a day.

Fun workplace ever.

Edcon was good place to work for. Targets were realistic and hour were reasonable. It is a friendly atmosphere and a good company to work for. Very understanding and flexible workplace.

Fast paced and results focused organisation

A collaborative process and understanding of the business was key for every employee.It was a results driven and presentation of business units results on a monthly basis. They provided me with adequate training and development opportunities and paid above average salaries in merchandising.

Productive

Edcon is a good company to work only if you understand and love retail industry. You get a support from Regional Managers. The management will visit the store monthly to check and monitor the store and targets.

Quality training programs, Fast-paced, Friendly staff, Not enough interaction or communication between different departments, Motivational programs for staff to partake in
