Family oriented, they care about you and Family. Okay pay and basic benefit. Training is good with good co worker. Job it self can be stressful due to natural of the industry but they have fun and work like a family

Aging company increasingly falling behind

This is a company stuck in the grand old days of the 90s. Their management, HR, ERP/systems, are all showing their age through inefficiency and inability to change. If you want overtime, this is the company for you as inefficiency is the name of the game

No real training, No resolution to favoritism,

Raises are horrible!Don't bother to complain, nothing is done Working with colleagues in other cities and countries is good Seems like owners/leaders/upper mgmt care, yet nothing you can do if the someone higher in job position is making you miserable, so miserable it's created a hostile work environmentWas no real training, recently developed some SOP's. Might help if HR actually had new employees look at themJust cuz busy, shouldn't do half-assed job, nor s/b condoned by, nor instructed to do so, by unit leader.Not there to be your buddy or pal, have job to do, be respectful of a good job done, not necessary to like each other. It's called grown up time. Bonus if you do like each other

Enjoyable workplace, work hard but also fun times with good people

EMO Trans is a privately held company with a very good workplace culture. They care about their employees, and have very good relationships with them. The workload is mostly fair, but co-workers are ready to jump in and help if needed. A relaxed atmosphere and basically very good people makes it a great place to work.

Great Team, like a small Family. Everyday is different and work closely with other offices. Your able to work independently and and no need to for management to micromanage.

Not consistent. Forgetting the people who helped them get started.

Not consistent with training, acknowledging good workers, and timely reviews and very little advancement unless you ‘brown nose’. As with most company’s as it gets larger they forget the ‘little people’ who helped the grow and have forgotten the little things. They just want to step on you for themselves. And the new HR is all for the company and not the employees.

Stay far away!!!!

Been in this industry a long time and have to say this is the worst place I have ever worked at. Micro management is insane at this place. Management is controlling, condescending and bullying...................................,..,,,,,,,,,

Company pays well. You will work a lot of overtime though.

I enjoyed my time working here. Co-workers were extremely friendly and helpful. I did not like the overtime though. I was paid a nice salary but did not receive overtime pay. Had I received overtime pay, I would probably still work there.

stressful

stressful from the minute you start to the minutes it ends I learned how to do quotes management does not have a structure on placed people with seniority believe they are managers everyone (sales, manager, supervisor, even co-workers) things they are special and they are priority 5 o'clock and is time to go home

Life at Emo Trans

I was hire and then laid off, due to they lost a major account. I would open files, track shipments. Dispatch truckers and. Ocean & LCL shipments. Was not a friendly environment. I tried to bring a positive proactive. I suggested to my manger how to go paperless, but he would not take my advice. Even though the company wanted to go paperless.

Good place to work

Emo Trans is a good place to work. Corporate treats employees like family. I would recommend Emo Trans as a place of employment for a competitive wage.

Great experience if you are new.

Walked in ticket queue was primarily e-mails, and phone calls. From time to time my manager would let me go take of bigger IT tasks such as go into server room, and find where this desk is patched. I set up users desktops and laptops to have them shipped to there location.

Not very professional when it comes to job security. Alot of misleading information and broken promises. The company is under new management and therefore the company made some changes.

More Communication

There needs to be better communication from management about the direction of the company, job expectations and job advancement. There also needs to be a review of salaries and how they are competing with the rest of the workforce

Fun work place

Always looking forward to work in the morning, work was so friendly environment didn't have to hide yourself or feel so unconfutable with work mates it was the best work environment I have had.

Very busy

Work flow makes the day go by quick, great customers to work with. Management is pretty goo with requests. No really anything hard about the job just have to know how to handle problems. Love the fast pace environment and working with the airlines and truckers have a great relationship with them all.

very enjoyable atmosphere and very co worker friendly

A good place to work, but due to work reduction I am being laid off as of June 30th. I handled payroll, time sheets, accounting functions, billing, ordering of supplies negotiating with vendors for best price, I handled the moving and setting up a new office from Jamaica NY to Valley Stream NY. I like the deversity of the job.
