Demanding job with good benefits. Long days expected.
Route Sales Representative (Former Employee) - Oak Forest, IL - 2 February 2023
Good Company and parent company (Pepsico). Work until you get done each day. There is a lot of physical work. (The product is light at least.) Selling is expected. You will have a plan to hit each week. A typical day starts between 4 and 6 am and usually runs 10 plus hours a day.
Pros
You are on your own all day.
Cons
Long days with full commitment. Fast paced.

Long days, messy management
Merchandiser (Former Employee) - Norwich, CT - 1 February 2023
The companies management is a joke stay as far away as humanly possible. The other people you work with will back stab you every chance you get and so will management.

Horrible Work Life Balance
Inventory Control Manager (Former Employee) - Indianapolis, IN - 1 February 2023
Unfortunately there is a miserable work life balance with this company. Expect to work every holiday and long hours. Management does not care. Caters to their sales department. No regard for those in the warehouse.

Building Maintenance Technician (Former Employee) - Rhinelander, WI - 31 January 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Actually doing my job and not being interfered with. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Terrible micro management and lack of employee support. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Stressful and at times a hostile work environment. What is a typical day like for you at the company? If you can come in and do your job it's great. Lack of personnel made it difficult at best to get things done.

Independent job
Route Sales Representative (Former Employee) - Michigan - 31 January 2023
Not much free time for real life, fluctuating schedule makes it hard to make plans outside of work. Vacations based on seniority. So don't expect a summer vacation for a few years. Normally pick Vacations in November for following year, very hard to plan

Easy Schedule and Good Pay
District Sales Leader (Former Employee) - Delmar, MD - 30 January 2023
Working here was easy. You get plenty of training and development, plenty of time off and you basically set your schedule. You know the expectations and the requirements and it couldn't be easier

Great pay for what I do.
Detailer (Current Employee) - Lexington, TN - 30 January 2023
I’m only a part time detailer but I’ve not had any bad experiences in my area. Great co workers willing to help if I had questions and are very appreciative of the work I do on their routes.

Poor Training and Communication
Route Sales Associate (Current Employee) - Clifton Park, NY - 30 January 2023
Practical Training consisted of urging to hurry up, condescension, and cursory instructions for complex procedures. No instructions for incident reporting, in a physically demanding role. One thing I learned during practical training is that the classroom Training and certification is widely ignored. As someone who loves training and coaching others, I can attest that only my own stubbornness enabled me to complete the training,, just so I would no longer need to work with that individual.
Pros
Pay structure
Cons
Long (10-13 hour) days.

Okay place to work
Packer (Current Employee) - Beloit, WI - 30 January 2023
Frito Lay is an okay place to work. Goes through phases when there will be lot of overtime or times when you might get called off especially if you're part time. High turn over rate.

Route Sales Driver (Former Employee) - Houston, TX - 29 January 2023
Working at Frito Lay was a fun at the beginning but turn into a nightmare at the end. The training was fun and was very good. The work vs life was bad.

Cons

Horrible work environment.
Truck Driver Class A (Former Employee) - Casa Grande, AZ - 28 January 2023
Plan on never seeing your family. Run you into the ground with work. Forced 70 + hours a week. Maybe get 1 day off a week. Management will lie to you about what you'll be doing in beginning of your career there. They will also lie about your income.. Very Poor all around Management that could care less about you as a person. Treat drivers like just numbers. High turn around rate on drivers due to false info given when starting. No structure within dispatch or Management here. Vacation must be taken 1 full week at a time. No individual days allowed. Fleet is low quality old beat up CNG tractors that handle and perform poorly. Forced to drive CNG in OTR situations with limited fueling options. Overall very poor place to work and would never recommend
Pros
None
Cons
Horrible management. Poor overall work environment

You're a ROBOT with no life
Material Handler/Forklift Operator (Current Employee) - Rosenberg, TX - 27 January 2023
This job is just a job, Yes you have the opportunity to make a decent living for yourself. But you sacrifice your life by doing it. The management is terrible you just feel like a number and all they care about is the chips. you're moving ALL SHIFT LONG literally and if you don't you will get wrote up. If you're looking for $1,000+ a week you found it but don't get locked in here PLEASE make your money SAVE your money and get outta here. Forced overtime is definitely something to get used to, the attendance policy is very strict so if you miss work alot its probably not the place for you. The only thing I look forward to here is my check every friday.
Pros
Money, family environment within (workers), Job security
Cons
Toxic management, High turnover rate

Route Sales Representative (Former Employee) - Queens, NY - 26 January 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Constant incentives, work on your own, free chips!! What is the most stressful part about working at the company? In the summer time there are no AC’s in those death traps!! You could literally pass out while driving from heat exhaustion!! Imagine it’s 98 degrees outside and the sun is blaring in that big heap of metal truck, you’re sitting in bumper to bumper traffic…. You must bring a cooler and LOTS OF WATER IN THE SUMMERTIME, no exaggeration!!! What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Laid back What is a typical day like for you at the company? Feels like a race to the finish line.

A great job for the area, but…
Route Sales Representative (Current Employee) - Nacogdoches, TX - 26 January 2023
Once you get your own route, things get a lot easier. As an RSA though, your schedule is all over the place, as are you. But the pay is good, bosses are good, etc…not much to complain about other than the work life/personal life balance.
