i am working as senior site supervisor and i really enjoy my job. i learn how to deal with the stock every how do we count the stock on our site. our management are good to us as they encourage us to study and they give the proper training for the job. the culture is to deliver in the best interest of the company the hardest part is to deal with those who do the scam that end up loosing the stock. To do the investigation if there is some that not right to our workplace.

you need to be a team player and respect the job all departments work together to achieve one goal you need to follow the protocols of the compact and lead by example days are not the same it's tough and sometimes enjoyable parts of the job are different so you need to know the job very well
I work in the national control center for g4s a shift consists of 12 hours ,I work with clients and g4s employees on a daily bases (day shift and night shifts ) . My daily task consist of many skills but with company policy it is convectional to the extents . I have learnt customer service , telephonic ethics, working under intense pressure , computer skills , , switch board skills, cctv skills , managing skills , logging technical calls , incident reports . Our management is on the ball at all times motivating , inspiring respectful to the staff as well as keeping the company standards. Our workplace culture is impeccable working 12 hours a shift for 6 days we are very supportive, respectful, committed ,violent ,involved ,work with pride , very clean environment and the most important part is working in a team as sometimes we have to take risks for the safety of others . The hardest part of my job would be working under presser .. The most enjoyable part of my job is my new family and having challengers
Pension night, Allowance, Over time

For such a large company that seems to have been awarded Top Employer awards every year for a few years you would believe from the outside that they value their team. Unfortunately this is not the case and the culture is very restrictive and unsupportive of their staff. I worked for a couple of years in the Africa office that had oversight of all the operations in the African countries and there was a real air of self importance and dismissiveness about anyone not South African. The majority of employees are blue collar workers in security positions and there is not much care taken to ensure they are paid correctly, are issued with uniforms, that their working conditions are safe and comfortable which I thought was disrespectful. Front line workers had to buy their own uniforms, dry clean their own security suits and weren't properly compensated for night shifts or weekend work. I did not enjoy the culture which is why I left.
A typical work day will be knocking on at 8 and leaving at four, what i learned from this job is that working under pressure almost everyday and that made me more alert and more focused as well. Every one is friendly and ask questions if unsure about anything in the work place. I would say the hardest part of the job is when the pressure gets so much that you would have to put in more hours in completing the job. The most enjoyable part of my job is when i see that all the pressure was hard work gets rewarded.
