I taught English HL at a GDE Secondary School, the pace was focussed and fast. All the teachers had loads of marking, lessons preparation and general administrative tasks (with the minimum of free periods) but as a seasoned teacher that was a challenge rather than a drawback.

Everyone does he/she wants. Thre is no linkages of tasks and aliening of activities so that they could be directed towards the common mandate of the department. There is lack of visionary and strategic leadership.
