Always felt very well supported at Giraffe. Typical chain restaurant with good policies and procedures in place. Great at recruiting great people but went south a little during CVA process. Hope they can recover and be a top brand again.

Best left well alone. 80 hours a week. 19 hour shifts on a salary for 40 hours a week. Ridiculous stock take. No bonus. No thanks for all the long hours. Never ever again.

Great place to work with lovely food. Once you get the hang of it it’s super nice to work there. Sounds corny but you actually feel like your working with friends and I actually see and speak to a lot of them now. Great staff perks good working hours and really good pay. Regular training and I think like quarterly menu adaptions/changes and staff get to trained on what’s in it how it should look on the plate and get to taste it. Would definitely recommend

had a great time working at giraffe. employees are developed and made to feel part of the family. when i worked for them the focus was on hospitality and not about hard selling to guests.
The managers are so supportive and amazing to work with, they chuck you in the deep end but also assist you if you need it. Our customers are also amazing and so friendly

I enjoyed working at Giraffe as the work is easy going and the people thre are very friendly, easy to get on with and are able help you when needed a hand
Stay away from this company. I've never in my life experienced such a horrible company to work for, never got any training and then when you would mess up the management would bully you. They don't care. The management are bullies, one particular guy Supervisor was the biggest bully I've ever met in my life. I had money stolen from the staff room, they never did anything AT ALL and laughed it off. Shouting at you, swearing, and the management did nothing. The day I left this company was the best day, away from these bullies and didn't feel no stress from constantly being targeted .
Had great experience working with Giraffe. Good wages, experienced management, which is always there to help. Just sad that they closed some restaurants.

Good team work , on the floor , kitchen and management as well.
But , too manny people from the same nationality makes you feel like holidays!, that's mean that ere times that i could heard only polish! sorry guys! :)

Es una buena empresa para empezar en el mundo de hospitaleria pero es importante seguir adelante con mejores restaurantes cuando ya tenga experiencia ya que las horas son muy largas y no hay via social.

Not for chefs , if u are a chef then just avoid this Company,
Once a very good company to work for but not anymore,
They are treating chefs as slave, as a head chef you have to work morning till close with just one chef working with you and u might not get chance to have a glass of water,
money is good but be careful again they are not trustworthy, u might not get paid your holiday money.
Good place to work. Friendly management. Busy restaurant in city centre. I have learned how to prepare food from different parts of world. Good staff

giraffe world kitchen was a fun place to work however after 6 months of working there, the place was due to close at the end of june. However it shut down 7 weeks prior to this with only 6 days notice. The newcastle team I worked for and with were great and it was a shame the place had to close.
