It's been terrible. Wouldn't recommend the place

What is the best part of working at the company?Nothing. It's not a healthy environment to find yourself in. What you see on the outside, is not what you get in. What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Everything about the work place is nothing to write about. What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Weird!! I wouldn't recommend it. What is a typical day like for you at the company?Work overload and being underpaid.

Great training office

SNG GT sunninghill allowed me the platform to gain experience and grow as a professional. They provide sufficient tools in resources and management to cultivate a growth environment however each trainee had to carry the responsibility for their own growth. There you can choose how you use the resources to better yourself

Productive place to work at.

Received a lot of training and coaching from managers. A great environment to work in and grow your career in the accounting or auditing space. Need to be a team player and there is a lot of collaboration

busy and good exposure but culture is sometimes not as you expect. The pay is not so bad for a trainee auditor and you learn a lot on different sized clients

Low pay for the required work . Big room for improvement as there is a high turnover rate . Little to no support for further studies in IT audit so be prepared to invest in your own development.

Very professional company

It is just a very complex environment which has no benefits but long hours. The experience is good because we get exposed to a lot of different clients.

Managers and directors do not care about their employees, have no respect for their people or their time. Employees work long hours consistently and are not companseted for it. Management shows no appreciation for employees going above and beyond their job requirements.

Oppresive environment

Their most important employees are Auditors and there rest of the support divisions are neglected because they don't generate revenue for the company. However, I was fortunate to work under a very intelligent boss who shared his knowledge and taught me a lot.

SNG Grant Thornton must look into trainee files, not all of us have junior degrees only, we knocked at other departments within the company without luck or any response whatsoever

Productive, overtime and deadlines

I have learned how to work over pressure, how to communicate with clients at professional level , emotional intelligence and also how to manage a team. The management is always willing to assist and patient with the teams. The workplace culture is good because we work as teams and assist one another. The overtime and work pressure was the hardest part of the job, especially since i was busy with studies at the same time. The most enjoyable part was travelling going to other cities and meeting new teams, engaging with clients and building healthy relationships.

Good company. Culture needs extreme change

SNG Grant Thornton is a good firm. You get exposure on so many levels as a trainee. The culture of the firm however, needs improvement. I personally have worked with great managers who have helped to train me in a manner required by SAICA I have attained soft skills as well as technical skills that have equiped me to be ready to kick start my career after articles

Teamwork and Productive

I had great time working there and very good experience gained. I've learnt a lot from my experience with SNG Grant Thornton and they did give a chance to prove to myself that I can work under pressure.

No work life balance

They don't help you integrate and grow into the culture. They have no patience to teach and no respect for employees. You are also expected to work 100 hours a week which is not reasonable

It was a good learning curve

Working at SNG was a good learning curve and one thing I enjoyed the most was the exposure to the different companies that I got to audit. It also served as a great platform to create long lasting connections.
