Environment is nice and calming. Very slow pace and compensation needs improvement. Management is hands on an attentive. Guest are given a variety of options for treatment alone with different product lines.

Pros

environment and guest

Cons

Lack of Respect

Corporate is horrible. no respect or consideration given. they don’t care about you at all. specifically a corporate owned location. Bad bad bad bad bad

Not great

The clientele was actually the best part of the day. The massage therapist and aestheticians are very nice but Mangement doesn’t know what they’re doing and they make us feel very small and insignificant.

Pros

Free massage and facial the first time

Cons

No breaks, you close alone often, management makes you feel like nothing

Calm fun environment

I really loved working here. The environment was always relaxing but productive. Hitting the sales goals was fairly easy, and management was great about helping you in times where your sales are low.

Decent

Decent , it’s a job. Can’t complain because money is made. Up to you to determine if 12/hr is a good pay to live off of. There are no benefits though & no holiday pay.

Pros

Nothing

Cons

No benefits, pay is horrible.

There are better places

The pay is not worth how you get treated by the owners and customers. It's very obvious how disposable you are to them. Management and coworkers are what makes things enjoyable but that's like every other job.

Stays busy

Good place to work at, just that sometimes commission it's not worth the effort you put into it. Not a bad place to start working if you recently graduated from massage school.

Toxic culture

Negative and unprofessional, rude, coworkers and management create a toxic environment. No benefits and no advancement. Hostile work environment and high turnover. You work too hard to be in a negative environment.

Pros

Tips are decent

Cons

Toxic environment and low pay

Treat employees terribly

They can’t keep a massage therapist because they treat them so poorly. Management is mean and don’t care about the customers. This is a very negative culture for employees

Ignorant management, poor pay

Owner and management need to respect the training massage therapist get. When we say there is a contra-indication for massage there should be no more questions from management. They should not "push" the massage to another therapist, which there can create tension between the two therapists.

Pros

There wasn't any at all!!

Cons

To many to list

Just fine

It’s an easy receptionist job. You have to meet the sales quotas but at my location there was no penalty for not, other than more training. The only real issue was the management.

Productive and fun atmosphere

Consistent hours and steady work days, ability to take time on each task while multitasking with scheduling and customer support. Management is helpful.

Quiet relaxing job

Easy job; memberships can be a little tough to sell but overall I enjoy working there. Usually answer phone calls, schedule appointments, sell memberships ect.

Supportive Environment

Great co workers, and management is involved and supportive. Owner is a lovely person and takes pride in their business, wants everyone to succeed. Clients are pleasant as well.

Workplace and management

The staff is fun, overall very calm energy. Mgmt is unfair, very sneaky and “pick me”. How they treat their employees is sad. No sense of job security at all, you disagree once and you’re gone. The CEO is also very active in the stores, she comes off as nice but is very rude and careless. You don’t have time to do anything but work, they expect you to be there consistently. When I was employed we changed employees every other week.

Cons

Commission is not enough, under payed, bias, and if you don’t fit “the look” they will get rid of you.

Nice management but smaller compensation

The job was nice but it was hard to get additional hours or time off needed to get an additional job. The pay was not competitive and there wasn't much room for advancement.

Productive and fun work place

Work with people of all backgrounds who are the best at what they do. It is rewarding and fun. Flexible schedule is an added bonus. Lots of incentives and easy ways to make extra money.

fun place to work but management and owners may be difficult

Good place to work. Owner can be a bit much at times, management is not the best but you can avoid them. application process was easy, interview was quick.

Pros

slow pace

Cons

management

Better opportunities elsewhere

This job opportunity is better suited for a younger generation who do not have major bills, who simply need a foot in the door for work experience as a LMT or even any other position there.

Huntington Hand and Stone is a fabulous place to work!

Great place to work. Culture is fun and supportive. Little chance for promotion to Lead Therapist. Manager is amazing, fights for the staff!! Each franchise is different. Culture will change from spa to spa. You can average $65 an hour if you are open to upgrading. You are in charge of your income here.

high turnover rate

It's suitable for a temporary job because it's easy/flexible (front desk). Overall, the company sucks. This is coming from an ex-employee and ex-customer.
