Included traveling to power stations, having meetings with the clients and doing plant walk downs and reviewing schedules, working with people with in a diverse cultural work place was challenging but a good learning curve, management always expected the best and always pushed the teams to the max, the best part of the job was making sure that management and client were always satisfied with the services provided.

Working for Howden is the most exciting experience, it is a very dynamic environment with diverse culture. and offers a wide range of engineering products and services to the customers. The company structure makes it easy for reporting and encourages team work. The profit targets set for the company are usually quite steep which exerts a little bit of presure to the magement and then cascading down to the floor staff. The industrial exposure is broader you get to know or learn various products supplied by Howden which enhances a sense of creativity and innovation.

I have been working for this company for nine years and above.The company management is good.working conditions are satisfying.Theres safety.Work environment is good.But the money is not pleasing at all and does not meet my needs as a family man.
My days are always busy with submitting costs of jobs for customers that sent there products to us for repairs. I have to discuss the jobs with other supervisors where I need there assistance on repairs. Also do site visits with customers in solving problems they might have and give proper feedback to them.

I have learned how to deal with a wide variety of customers, from the pleasant customer to the irritated. In every case, I assess their needs and how Howden Africacan address them most effectively. I have learned to be good at understanding the psyche of the customers and hence knowing when to identify opportunities to sell services to the customer. The majority of my customers have walked away feeling satisfied. More importantly, they have returned to do business with us again. so its a great place to work for
