This is based on an individual franchise, there are exceptional KFC companies out there
Shift supervisor (Former Employee) - Polokwane, Limpopo - 9 June 2020
My work experience basically came down to the culture that was passed down from year to year. However the culture formulated in shops were not of best practices.Employees were deemed replaceable the moment they were done with their training and reduced to low level scum culture by their RGMs.most were unhappy and the staff turnover rate was starting to show so much that Yums eyebrows were raised.
Pros
One of the best Restaurants you could learn from
Cons
Working hours do not reflect benefits

KFC is a very nice place to work at and it has a lot of opportunity for people who wants to grow within the company, the environment is always friendly and you get to interact with different races and cultures.
It is ideal for people who wants to be in the hospitality industry and like working with customers and around a team.

Requires a lot of energy but if you a smart individual you will survive.
Shift Supervisor (Former Employee) - Johannesburg South, Gauteng - 21 September 2019
Always be on toes, know what's happening in front of you and against your back, not an environment to be relaxed and casual. Well run organization for someone who is looking for growth however you need to know how to balance your social life and work
Pros
Good support structure
Cons
Exhausting and strainous hours

Productive place
Shift Supervisor (Current Employee) - Pretoria, Gauteng - 17 November 2017
You are free when you at work, do things at your own pace as long as at the end of the day you achieve all your targets.
The pressure that comes with job is interesting cause it helps one to be focused.
No one is forced for the development part, it takes focus, determination and knowing what you want in life to keep going.
Its a fun place to be at, sometimes!
Pros
Recognition now and then
Cons
Very long hours
