My grand mother works as a domestic worker. She has just started receiving her governement pension this year. She has been working for her current employer since 1999 of which is now 19 on the same employer. She has no idea if whether she was registered with any formal associations such as UIF or the Department of Labour.
My question is:
- Is she entitled to any compensation with this regard?
- If she is not registered, would she still have any benefits?Asked 10 June 2018
Yes she is to a compensation fund according to Labour Act.Answered 18 April 2019
