Long hours, don't pay overtime. Require one person to do a lot at times. Environment can be toxic. Work six days a week and shift work also. Deal with a lof of incompetent people.

Production Manager (Former Employee) - Gauteng - 13 November 2022
Lupo require your full commitment, its a high pace company that allows self development, but it will take initiative from yourself as a individual. The company is process driven, given that its services the food industry with emphasis on health and safety, with high quality output, cost effective final product, its a highly competive market that Lupo Bakery compete in. Preventative maintenance is part of the day to day operation, and require careful planning
Pros
Competive salary in industry
Cons
Require the extra mile

Overwhelming
Quality Controller (Former Employee) - Durban, KwaZulu-Natal - 17 May 2022
The company expects you to work overtime with no pay. Supervisors never listen to QC making it difficult for you to do your job. Managers pass down their jobs and take credit, little to no respect from them. The fault is never theirs. Production workers are the best. I just wish they got paid more and recieved benefits for all the hard labor they do. The company just wants to make money and cares very little about their employees. They don't even buy them PPE boots or jackets for cold environments like the freezer.
Cons
Long hour, little pay/no benefits

It was a fun place to work
FMCG Sales Representative (Former Employee) - Honeydew, Gauteng - 17 September 2019
I traveled long distances, my client base was vast. Pick N Pay, Spar, Checkers, coffee shops, butcheries. I had to service existing clients, suggest new products, advise on display, as well as finding new business. Generally, the decision makers were pleasant and open to suggestions. I had to assist with troubleshooting and complaints as well. The workplace culture was odd, a family owned company and lots of volatility! The hardest part I thought must have been the never ending meetings, constant threats and criticism. The enjoyable part was to load my car with samples and get on with my day, I loved building relationships with my clients. Customer service has always been very important to me.

depressing work place
Tele Sale / Orders Clerk (Former Employee) - Kya Sand, GP - 11 June 2015
it was a good working environment. I learned how to interact with clients. I gained more experience on how to deal with challenges and work stress. management was poor, they didn't know how to treat their employees. there was a lot of discrimination and racism from management. my co-workers were hard working and did their job with passion and they believed in team work. the hardest part of the job was having to work long hours and not be paid for it. there was nothing enjoyable about the job except when I was on the phone wit their clients.
Pros
new experience
Cons
Bad treatment

Extremely busy factories with enormous work loads
Production Manager (Current Employee) - Johannesburg, GP - 6 November 2014
This company has grown with unprecedented pace over the past three years. Senior Management is extremely hard on the managers but in an industry like this it is necessary practice in order to keep the boat afloat.

productive and a fun place
transport supervisor (Former Employee) - johannesburg - 21 January 2013
General Employees make the company unfogettable, only the management makes it unbearable with the backstabbing and bad mouthing each other "a real soapy at the top, with everyone competing for the bosses affections" -Day to day challenges of the transport department made it enjoyable -Coming face to face with racism was always the hardest part of the job
Pros
travelling
Cons
working on weekends
