I loved the people I worked with but some managers were just unethical in their approach to staff members who they did not like and made it blatantly obvious that they would try and get them dismissed if they could .
Uncapped aalary after achieving minimum standards
I have learnt to manage time out in the field, to have a good relationship with people(clients). I think the company must invest in training their people on the ground about team work and encourage positive attitude towards the job.
You manage your own time
Professionalism is maintained and learn a lot of self discipline, mannerism and how to approach and make them see that the product is better than other insureres
Getting to meet different people and different personalities
Patience so you can win a client
MY MMI review I really liked the independecy and exposure the job provided however it just had too much uncertainty in terms of income. My role included identifying prospects and book appointments for presantation and eventually result to sales which means after the presantation a client must takeout a product which was not always guaranteed due to various factors ie the conditions of the economy high rate of indebted population and casualisation in the labour force to mension but a few
It was good to MMI but the challenge and the pressure was very high. What i like mostly about the company, we were learning and studing thing under financial field.
The working environment. is exceptionally great, this is where i learnt how to see and people skills and everything,so i would never compare what management and colleagues did to my life in terms of assistance and grooming me into this role
Year end functions are for everyone, it doesnt matter when you got hired.
Training needs an upgrading
A day at metropolitan was a day of hard work , chasing clients and reaching your targets, It was hard to keep up at times with admin and signing up different clients for different polices. I learnt a great deal. From getting your life sorted financially to managing time and reaching targets. I learnt a little of everything from marketing to admin. the hardest part of the job was to meet new prospects( clients) and maintaining the clientele. what i enjoyed the most of the job was meeting new people everyday and helping clients prepare for future and making sure things are in place should anything happen to them.
long hours, getting new prospects
As a financial adviser i don't stay at the office, i travel around recruiting people which is fun because i meet with different people, furthermore even myself i become wise when it comes to use my finances. The hardest part of this work is when you didn't meet the sales target for that particular month or some of the clients didn't pay their policies.
If we have training at office we get free lunch
I work over time only when my sales target is high.
We want to help you find great companies. Help us be the best!
