work place
Miner / Stoper shift & Developer (Current Employee) - limpopo - 21 June 2016
a typical day at work is when there were previous blasting mis-fires and have to go start afresh to re-examine those blasting holes and another worse typical day is when a person has been crushed by a hanging wall or moving machines underground.
I learned to always keep my work team safe and to work according to standard at all times more special by wearing the correct PPE.
Managing a crew is good to me for the fact that I always work according to standard at all time underground.
My core-workers always communicate with me because that is what I also do to them.
the hardest part of the job is when the smoke is pumping slowly and the RDO's have to stay a long time drilling.
the most enjoyable part of the job is when we celebrate the free facility shifts (no injuries and accidents).
Pros
overtimes
Cons
long hours
